Chronic persistent hepatitis refers to a condition where SGPT levels are continuously elevated due to liver dysfunction. This medication helps alleviate inflammation in liver cells and improve impaired liver function. It restores liver health and is used to manage continuous liver dysfunction.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults, take 1 capsule orally 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete biliary obstruction. Also, since this medication contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution should be taken when using this medication in patients with chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcer, and cholelithiasis. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as occasional diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occur while taking this medication, and rarely, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, and discomfort in the upper abdomen may develop. Allergic reactions such as itching or rash may occur, and occasionally skin rashes may develop, but generally, symptoms resolve with the concurrent use of antihistamines. Transient jaundice may occur, but in that case, stopping the medication or using jaundice treatment agents will resolve the symptoms. Rarely, symptoms such as general fatigue or dizziness may appear. Significant side effects have been reported in some cirrhosis, ascites, and acute hepatitis C patients in post-market investigations, so it should be used carefully under the supervision of a physician. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and regimen, and if symptoms do not improve after a maximum of 8 weeks or if abnormal symptoms occur, it should be discontinued immediately and consultation with a physician or pharmacist is advised. It is important to store this medicine out of reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant are advised not to use this medication, as harmful effects on the fetus have been reported in animal experiments. Finally, this medication may enhance the effect of oral antidiabetic drugs when taken together, so caution is needed when used concurrently.
