Patients, chronic persistent hepatitis with continuously elevated SGPT levels refers to a condition where inflammation in the liver persists for a long time. This can lead to decreased liver function, thus appropriate treatment is necessary. This medication helps to suppress liver inflammation and improve liver function. By doing so, it supports the reduction of liver cell damage and maintenance of a healthy liver state. This drug is used to restore liver health and alleviate symptoms.

Precautions

This medicine should not be administered to patients with complete bile duct obstruction. Additionally, as this drug contains lactose, it should not be used in patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution should be exercised when administering to patients with chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcer disease, or cholelithiasis. When taking this medicine, digestive symptoms such as occasional diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occur, and rarely abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or feelings of discomfort in the upper abdomen may arise. Hypersensitivity reactions such as itching or rash may occur, and occasionally skin rashes may develop, although symptoms usually subside with the concomitant use of antihistamines. Transient jaundice symptoms may appear, but these symptoms will resolve upon stopping the drug or using jaundice treatment medications. Rarely, symptoms such as general malaise or dizziness may occur, so caution is advised. This drug has been associated with serious adverse effects such as cirrhosis, ascites, and acute hepatitis C in a 6-year post-marketing survey, and thus causality cannot be completely excluded. It is crucial to follow the prescribed dosage and administration accurately, and if symptoms do not improve after a maximum of 8 weeks of use or if unusual symptoms develop, the medication should be stopped and the doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Store in a safe place out of reach of children. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this drug due to the risk of fetal toxicity. Additionally, caution should be exercised when used together with oral antidiabetic drugs, as the effects of the diabetes medication may be enhanced.
