This medication is used to relieve inflammation caused by mild oral mucositis and gingivitis. It can reduce discomfort or swelling in the mouth. This helps improve the patient's oral health.
Dosage and Administration
Adult dosage
For teenagers aged 12 and older and adults: Apply approximately 0.5 cm to the inflamed area three times a day and rub gently.
Precautions
This medication contains an amide-type local anesthetic, and should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this medication or its components. Additionally, it should not be used by children under 12 years of age, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers. If any allergic reactions or pain occur on the skin or mucous membranes while using this medication, usage should be discontinued immediately and a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Particularly, individuals allergic to plants of the Asteraceae family or Peru balsam should be cautious as allergic reactions may occur due to the components in this medication. If symptoms of inflammation do not improve within one week, usage should also be discontinued and a specialist consulted. There have been no reports of this medication affecting driving or equipment operation, and no interactions with other drugs are known. However, care should be taken to avoid contact with eyes or open wounds. The benzalkonium chloride included in this medication can irritate the skin, so care should be taken not to apply it excessively to the skin. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, and it is advisable to use it within 12 months after opening. Store it in a cool place, no more than 30 degrees Celsius. Finally, this medication contains saccharin, which may be potentially carcinogenic as an additive, so prolonged excessive use should be avoided.
