Thioctic acid helps provide necessary nutrients during intense physical labor and is used in the treatment of brain and spinal cord-related diseases such as Leigh syndrome, a rare neurological disorder. It is also effective for treating toxic sensorineural hearing loss caused by certain antibiotics (streptomycin, kanamycin) and occupational noise-induced sensorineural hearing loss. However, if symptoms do not improve after one month of use, continued use is not recommended. This medication is mainly used for the prevention and treatment of nerve damage.
