This medication helps improve liver function and reduce damage to liver cells to maintain a healthy liver state in cases of chronic persistent hepatitis where SGPT levels are continuously elevated. It also alleviates inflammation caused by hepatitis, promoting recovery of liver function. These effects are used to manage hepatitis symptoms and improve overall liver health.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule for adults, to be taken orally 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients with complete bile duct obstruction. Also, since this medication contains lactose, it should not be used by patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Patients with chronic active hepatitis or cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disease, peptic ulcer, and cholelithiasis need to use this medication with caution. During the use of this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occasionally appear, and rarely abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or discomfort in the upper abdomen may occur. Also, hypersensitivity symptoms such as itching or rash may occur, but in these cases, using antihistamines often alleviates the symptoms. Transient jaundice may occur, but usually, symptoms improve when the medication is discontinued or when jaundice treatments are used. Rarely, systemic malaise or dizziness may occur; thus, caution should be exercised if these symptoms arise. If symptoms do not improve even after prolonged use of this medication or if unusual symptoms appear, the use should be stopped immediately and consultation with a physician or pharmacist should be sought. Keep this medication out of the reach of children to prevent accidental ingestion. It is advisable for women who are pregnant or may become pregnant to avoid using this medication. Finally, when used in conjunction with oral antidiabetic agents, the effects of the diabetes medication may be intensified, so it should be used cautiously under the guidance of a doctor.
