Relief of knee osteoarthritis and shoulder periarthritis
This medication is used to relieve and treat the symptoms of joint diseases such as osteoarthritis of the knee and shoulder periarthritis.
Typically, for adults, administer 1 vial once a week for 3 consecutive weeks into the knee joint cavity or shoulder joint (shoulder joint cavity, subacromial bursa, or biceps brachii tendon sheath), but the number of administrations should be adjusted according to symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients who have previously experienced allergic reactions to its components. Caution should be exercised in patients who have had allergic reactions to other medications, those with liver problems or a history of liver disease, and those with skin diseases or infections at the injection site. Serious allergic reactions such as shock may occur after administration of this medication, so if symptoms appear, administration should be immediately stopped and appropriate treatment should be sought. Additionally, symptoms of hypersensitivity such as swelling around the face or eyes, rashes, and itching may occur, and if such symptoms appear, treatment should be stopped and medical care should be sought. Temporary pain, swelling, redness, or warmth at the injection site may occur, and in rare cases, effusion or severe pressure sensation may develop. Symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and fever may also occur, so if any adverse reactions occur, patients should inform their healthcare provider. In cases of severe joint inflammation, this medication may worsen the inflammation, so it is advisable to administer it after the inflammation has subsided. After administration, it is important to keep the injection site stable and avoid overexertion, and the injection must be done accurately to prevent leakage of the medication outside the joint. Injections should be performed under sterile conditions, and if symptoms do not improve, the injections should be limited to three times. If there is a large amount of joint fluid, it should be drained through aspiration, and intravenous administration is strictly forbidden. This medication is not suitable for use around the eyes, and a needle gauge of 22-23 is appropriate. Caution should be taken as this medication may cause precipitation if mixed with certain disinfectants. The safety of this medication is not clearly established in pregnant women or women who may become pregnant; therefore, it should only be administered with caution when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. Furthermore, breastfeeding mothers should avoid breastfeeding during administration as this medication may be transmitted through breast milk. The safety of this medication has not been established in children and should only be used cautiously if absolutely necessary. Elderly patients may have weakened bodily functions and should be monitored closely during use.
