This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if administered to women in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, use should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to this drug's active ingredients or similar medications, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and individuals with severe kidney or liver disease should not take this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluid may experience hypotension, so conditions should be assessed before use, and blood pressure should be carefully monitored during treatment. Patients with high potassium levels or those taking medications that can increase potassium levels should have their potassium levels checked frequently. Patients with issues related to renal vessels, recent kidney transplant recipients, those with a history of angioedema, and patients with heart failure or those who have had a myocardial infarction should use this medication cautiously, and close monitoring by a physician may be necessary. During treatment, side effects such as dizziness, headaches, swelling, hypotension, skin rash, dyspepsia, and other abnormal symptoms can occur; if any unusual symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a healthcare professional is essential. Caution is advised while driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. Interactions may occur with other antihypertensive medications, diuretics, potassium-sparing agents, certain antibiotics, grapefruit juice, etc., so patients should inform their doctor about any medications or dietary habits they are currently following. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not take this medication, and breastfeeding women are also advised against its use. Children under 18 years of age should avoid this medication as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established.
