Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may worsen symptoms. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its ingredients should not use it. It should not be used in patients with eczematous otitis externa with a perforated eardrum, as wound healing may be delayed. It should not be administered to patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin regeneration may be slowed. It is recommended to avoid use in patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, or itching around the anus and genitals. Children under 2 years of age should not use this medication. It should be used with caution in pregnant women, those who may become pregnant, nursing mothers, children, and the elderly, especially if there is an allergy to propylene glycol. Skin condition should be monitored closely during use to prevent skin infections, and if any signs of infection appear, use should be discontinued immediately. With long-term use, there may be side effects such as thinning of the skin or dilation of capillaries, so care should be taken. Using this medication extensively or with occlusive dressings may affect the entire body and suppress hormonal functions, necessitating regular check-ups. When used around the eyes, caution should be exercised due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Principally, it should not be used in eczemas or dermatitis accompanied by a skin infection; if it must be used, it should be combined with antibiotics or antifungals. Use should be discontinued as soon as symptoms improve, and if there is no improvement or if worsening occurs, it should be stopped immediately. Due to the lack of established safety in pregnant or nursing women, extensive use or prolonged treatment should be avoided and only used when absolutely necessary. Children have a higher risk of side effects due to their larger surface area relative to body weight, so it should not be used for more than 3 weeks, especially in environments with occlusive dressings like diapers. Elderly patients may experience side effects more easily, so careful observation is necessary during extensive or prolonged use. This medication should not be used for ophthalmic purposes, and it should not be used after cosmetic application or shaving for other treatment purposes. Occlusive dressings should not be used without a doctor's instruction, and the affected area should be kept clean during use. Store out of reach of children to prevent accidents.
