Treatment for inflammation and pain relief in chronic polyarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
This medication is used to treat inflammatory joint diseases such as chronic polyarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It also alleviates pain and swelling that occur after trauma or surgery and is effective in treating infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. Overall, this drug is used to improve various inflammatory diseases and pain.
Administer 300 mg of Dexibuprofen orally 2 to 4 times a day. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of Dexibuprofen in one day.
This drug may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than 3 glasses of alcohol daily; therefore, consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. This drug may increase the risk of cardiovascular events; patients with risk factors for heart disease or stroke should be particularly cautious, and if any cardiovascular symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a healthcare provider is necessary. This drug can cause serious gastrointestinal side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, so patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease should be cautious and seek immediate treatment if any abnormal symptoms occur. Patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding, severe blood disorders, liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, hypertension, asthma, and other conditions should not take this drug. Taking this drug in conjunction with aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, so concurrent use should be avoided. During the use of this drug, breastfeeding should be stopped or the intake of the medication should be halted. Caution is required while driving or operating machinery due to potential dizziness or fatigue. Patients with blood disorders, liver and kidney dysfunction, hypertension, heart failure, the elderly, pregnant women (especially those over 6 months), and individuals with a history of alcohol addiction should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this drug. This drug may interact with various medications; therefore, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional if other medications are being taken, especially when used in combination with anticoagulants, diuretics, lithium, and antiplatelet agents. If shock, severe skin rash, breathing difficulties, severe gastrointestinal symptoms, liver function abnormalities, kidney dysfunction, or neurological abnormalities occur while taking this drug, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare provider. This medication should be administered at the minimum effective dose and for the shortest duration possible, and regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests are necessary for long-term use. After 20 weeks of pregnancy, there is a risk of fetal renal dysfunction and oligohydramnios; therefore, pregnant women should avoid usage or use it carefully under medical advice. In case of overdose, immediate medical attention is required even if no obvious symptoms are present, and it should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, perforation, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe allergic reactions, high fever with severe rash, blisters, shed skin, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes, severe skin abnormal reactions, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities with cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), profound lethargy, liver dysfunction (jaundice), sudden and severe headaches, thunderclap headaches
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
Do not take this drug in combination with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, or high doses of methotrexate. Corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin), baclofen, and immunosuppressants (such as cyclosporine, tacrolimus, sirolimus).
This medication is sensitive to air and humidity; therefore, it must be stored in a tightly sealed container. The recommended storage temperature is room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees.
