Prevention of vitamin B1 deficiency and improvement of metabolic disorders such as neuralgia and myalgia
This medication is used for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B1 deficiency. It helps supplement vitamin B1, particularly when dietary intake is insufficient, such as in cases of wasting diseases, hyperthyroidism, during pregnancy and lactation, or in individuals engaging in intense physical labor. It is also effective for disorders like Wernicke's encephalopathy and beriberi heart disease. It can be used for various symptoms suspected to be due to vitamin B1 deficiency or metabolic disorders, including neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, peripheral neuritis, peripheral nerve paralysis, myocardial metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal motility disorders, and post-surgical ileus. However, prolonged use of more than one month without indication is not recommended. This medication is used to alleviate vitamin B1 deficiency and its various symptoms.
Fursultiamine is typically injected subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously at a dosage of 5 to 100 mg per day for adults. Adjust dosage as necessary according to symptoms.
This medication is an ampule injection; therefore, glass fragments may be mixed when cutting the glass container. It is important to be very cautious when cutting the container to avoid glass fragments entering. Extra care should be taken when administering to children and the elderly. This medication should not be used in patients with allergies to this medication or its ingredients. Caution should be exercised when administering this medication to patients with a history of drug allergic reactions. Severe allergic reactions may rarely occur, which can lead to symptoms of shock, so if hypotension, chest pain, or difficulty breathing occurs during administration, it should be immediately discontinued and appropriate treatment should be provided. Other possible allergy symptoms include skin rashes, nausea, vomiting, mouth inflammation, occasional diarrhea, headache, or frequent urination. When administered intravenously, pain may occur in the vein; therefore, it is advisable to adjust the injection speed as slowly as possible. To prevent bacterial contamination during use, leftover solution should not be reused. When cutting the ampoule, it should be done with a one-point cut method, gently applying force in the opposite direction with the marked section facing up, and before cutting, the opening of the ampoule should be cleaned with an ethanol swab to prevent foreign substances from entering. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container may lead to a change in quality, so it must be stored in its original container.

This medication is sensitive to light; therefore, it should be stored in an opaque container that does not allow light in. Additionally, when storing the medication, it is advisable to keep it at room temperature, between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
This medication is a colorless, odorless liquid with a slightly bitter taste, presented as a clear liquid injection filled in a brown ampoule.
