This medication helps to lower the blood levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, while increasing the level of HDL cholesterol, known as good cholesterol. Prior to use, it is important to implement lifestyle changes including dietary modifications and to accurately confirm the presence of secondary causes or medication use. Drug therapy is initiated based on lipid test results, contributing to the establishment of appropriate treatment strategies, particularly for patients at high risk of coronary artery disease. This medication aids in vascular health improvement and prevention of cardiovascular disease.
