This medication helps lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, Apo B, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol levels while raising HDL cholesterol levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It is used mainly in conjunction with dietary therapy when response to non-drug treatment is insufficient. In addition, various risk factors should be closely considered when administering lipid-lowering medications to patients at high risk for atherosclerotic vascular disease. Before using this medication, secondary causes such as diabetes and hypothyroidism should be confirmed and treated if necessary, and blood lipid levels should be checked regularly during treatment. This management process helps prevent complications arising from hypercholesterolemia and contributes to improving health.
