How it is given

Adult administration

For adults, administer 1 vial once a week for 3 consecutive weeks into the knee joint or shoulder joint. Adjust the frequency of administration as appropriate according to symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have had an allergic reaction to any of its components. Use cautiously in patients with a history of allergies to other medications, liver dysfunction, or liver disease, and in patients with skin conditions or infections at the injection site. Severe allergic reactions or shock symptoms may occur during use, so if unusual symptoms appear, the administration must be stopped immediately and appropriate treatment sought. Allergic symptoms such as swelling of the face or around the eyes, rash, hives, or itching may occur, and if these symptoms manifest, stop using the medication and inform the healthcare provider. Temporary pain, swelling, redness, warmth, and severe pressure sensations may occur at the injection site, as well as symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and fever. For joints with severe inflammation, it is advisable to treat the inflammation before using this medication, and care should be taken to stabilize the injection site afterward. If the medication leaks outside of the joint, it may cause pain, so it must be injected accurately into the joint. Injections must be performed in a sterile environment, and if symptoms do not improve, limit to only 3 administrations. If fluid is present within the joint, it may be necessary to remove it before injection. This medication is not suitable for intravenous injection or use in the eye. A syringe needle of 22-23 gauge is recommended, and be cautious as it may react with some disinfectants, leading to precipitation. The use of this medication should be approached with caution in pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, and it is recommended to avoid administration during breastfeeding. The safety in children has not been sufficiently established, so it should only be used cautiously when absolutely necessary. Elderly patients may have diminished physiological function, hence caution is advised during use.
