The vitamin D contained in this medication helps in the healthy development of bones and teeth and is used to prevent bone diseases such as osteomalacia. Therefore, it aids in maintaining skeletal health from children in their growth phase to the elderly.

How to take

Adult dose

Individuals aged 12 years and older and adults should take 1 capsule once a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia or sarcoidosis, which is an unknown systemic inflammatory disease, and by patients with impaired kidney function. Additionally, individuals who are allergic to the components of this medication, infants under 12 months of age, patients with kidney stones, patients with severe renal failure, and those allergic to soybean oil, beans, or peanuts should also refrain from taking this medication. It is important not to take this medication along with certain drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, and antacids during the treatment. If you are currently undergoing other treatments or are pregnant or may become pregnant, breastfeeding, a premature or young infant, individuals with heart or circulatory diseases, kidney disorders, hypoproteinemia, those taking heart medication, those with a history of kidney stones, or those with lipid metabolism disorders such as hyperlipidemia or diabetic hyperlipidemia, pancreatitis, you must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, cardiac arrest, or central nervous system depression occur during the use of this medication, you must stop taking it immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, overdose may cause gastrointestinal disturbances or hypernatremia, congestive heart failure, and edema, and long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia or the formation of stones, so caution is needed. When taken together with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, be aware of the risk of hyperkalemia. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed method and dosage, and it is advisable to avoid consuming tannin-containing tea such as green tea or black tea before and after taking it. Also, in patients at risk for lipid overload, plasma lipid levels should be regularly checked and drug dosage adjusted if necessary, and in cases where other lipid injection medications are used, the total lipid quantity should be considered when adjusting the dosage. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, kept away from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool, dry place in a tightly closed container. Lastly, to prevent misuse and maintain the quality of the medication, it is important not to transfer it to another container.
