This medication is used for the treatment of epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, mucous membrane dryness syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous epithelial disorders occurring due to surgery, drug side effects, trauma, and contact lens wear.
1 drop of 0.1% or 0.3% preparation is instilled 5-6 times a day. Dosage should be adjusted according to symptoms. Typically, the 0.1% preparation is used, and the 0.3% preparation is used for severe conditions.
This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to protein-based drugs or any components of this medication. Using this medication may cause symptoms such as eyelid itching, eye irritation, conjunctivitis, redness, corneal disorder, and foreign body sensation. Rarely, it can cause eye discharge or eye pain, so if these symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Allergic reactions such as eyelid inflammation or dermatitis may also occur, so if these symptoms appear, stop using the medication and seek treatment. Using this medication in conjunction with other specific eye drops may lead to more adverse reactions, so caution is needed. Particularly, caution should be exercised when used together with steroids, dry eye treatments, antibacterial agents, glaucoma treatments, antihistamines, cataract treatments, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. This medication should not be used simultaneously with other eye drops; at least 30 minutes should pass after using another eye drop before applying this medication. This medication is intended for direct application to the eye and should be used with care to avoid contact of the container tip with the eyelid or eyelashes. Contact with the tip may contaminate the medication with discharge or fungi. For single-use products, the first 1-2 drops should be discarded, and communal use should be avoided to prevent contamination. After opening, it should be used only once, and any remaining medication and container should be disposed of immediately. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a cool place, avoiding direct sunlight. Additionally, to prevent misuse, do not transfer it to another container.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
