This medication is used to relieve excessive gastric acid, heartburn, gastric discomfort, gastric bloating, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, belching, loss of appetite, dyspepsia, and discomfort following overeating. It also helps promote digestive function to ensure smooth digestion. This drug is effective in improving overall digestive health.

How to take

Adult dose

Aged 15 years and older: 1 dose of 1.6g Take 3 times a day. The interval between doses should be at least 4 hours.

Child dose

Aged 11 years to under 15 years: 1 dose of 1.1g Aged 8 years to under 11 years: 1 dose of 0.8g Aged 5 years to under 8 years: 1 dose of 0.5g Aged 3 years to under 5 years: 1 dose of 0.4g

Precautions

It is safe not to take this medication for patients undergoing dialysis treatment. Moreover, it should not be given to infants under 3 months of age, and for infants over 3 months and under 1 year of age, it is advisable to administer only after consultation with a physician. This medication contains lactose; therefore, it should be avoided by people with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, lactose enzyme deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. During the intake of this medication, it is important not to take tetracycline antibiotics simultaneously. If you or any family member have an allergic constitution, are on other medications, have high blood pressure, are elderly, have problems with the heart or kidneys, have swelling, or are currently under a doctor's care, please consult an expert before taking. If constipation or diarrhea occurs, if symptoms do not improve after taking for more than 2 weeks, or if symptoms such as decreased urine output, swelling of the face or extremities, heaviness of the eyelids, hand stiffness, increased blood pressure, or headaches appear, stop taking immediately and consult an expert. Prolonged use may cause side effects such as primary hyperaldosteronism, which can include hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, fluid retention, swelling, and weight gain. If such symptoms appear, check the serum potassium levels and discontinue use if abnormal. Hypokalemia may cause muscle symptoms, such as weakness, tremors, or paralysis; therefore, if such symptoms occur, stop taking and consult an expert. While taking this medication, the risk of side effects increases if taken with potassium-containing products, licorice, glycyrrhizin-containing medications, and specific diuretics; hence caution is advised. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and supervision by a guardian is required when administering to children. People on a sodium-restricted diet should also exercise caution when taking this medication. Store it in a place where children cannot reach, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool and dry place in a sealed container. It is also crucial not to transfer the medication to another container to prevent misuse and maintain quality.

Interactions

Drug interactions

Caution is needed when taking this medication with potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing preparations, or products containing glycyrrhizin or its salts.
