Precautions
This medication should be avoided by women in the first three months of pregnancy or those who may become pregnant to prevent overdosing on vitamin A. Taking more than 5,000 IU of vitamin A per day can increase the risk of congenital disabilities in the fetus. Since it contains iron, it should be kept out of reach of children, as accidental large doses can cause serious poisoning. Individuals with specific conditions such as hypercalcemia, kidney disease, or sarcoidosis should not take this medication. Additionally, those with allergies to this medication or its ingredients, infants under 12 months, or patients with Wilson's disease or hemochromatosis should also avoid it. It is also advisable not to take this medication simultaneously with phosphate, calcium preparations, certain antibiotics or antacids, and medications like levodopa. Consultation with a physician or pharmacist may be necessary in some cases. For example, pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with specific gastrointestinal conditions, or heart or kidney diseases, and patients with diabetes or gout must consult with a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin rash, difficulty breathing, or irregular heartbeat occur during usage, stop taking the medication immediately and consult with a medical professional. Caution is also needed if bleeding persists or menstrual changes occur. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and administration, and care must be taken not to exceed 5,000 IU of vitamin A to avoid overdosing. It is advisable to avoid tannin-rich beverages like green tea or black tea during treatment. When storing, keep it in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight, and do not transfer it to another container.
