Precautions

This medicine is used for the treatment of diabetes, and both components work together to control blood sugar. Serious allergic reactions may occur while taking this medicine, so if symptoms such as rash or difficulty breathing appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Acute pancreatitis, which is inflammation of the pancreas, may occur rarely, so report any abdominal pain, vomiting, or severe abdominal discomfort to healthcare providers immediately. Patients with severely impaired kidney function or serious infections and dehydration should not take this medicine and should refrain from use for some time before and after surgery. It is safer for pregnant or breastfeeding women not to take this medicine. Be cautious about symptoms of hypoglycemia during treatment, and especially when taking with other antidiabetic agents, as blood sugar may drop too low and frequent monitoring is necessary. This medicine should be used cautiously in patients with liver dysfunction, and it is advisable to avoid it if liver disease is present. During use, avoid alcohol consumption, as excessive drinking may increase the risk of a serious side effect called lactic acidosis. Regular blood tests and kidney function tests should be performed, and supplementation may be needed as vitamin B12 deficiency may occur. Report immediately to a doctor if there are symptoms such as severe joint pain or skin blisters. When given to elderly patients, the dose should be adjusted considering kidney function, with regular monitoring required. In case of overdose, seek treatment immediately; some components can be removed by dialysis. This medicine can interact with multiple medications, so notify your doctor or pharmacist of any other medicines you are taking. It is important to maintain regular meals, exercise, regular blood sugar testing, and comply with healthcare provider instructions during treatment.
