How to take

Precautions

This medication is primarily used to help control blood glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes. During the course of taking this medication, serious allergic reactions may rarely occur, so if symptoms such as skin rashes, itching, or breathing difficulties occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, symptoms of acute pancreatitis, which is an inflammation of the pancreas, may occur, so if symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or fever arise, visit a hospital immediately. One of the ingredients in this medication may pose risks to patients with impaired kidney function, so it should not be taken by those with moderate or severe renal impairment or at risk of acute renal failure. Especially in conditions such as dehydration, severe infection, heart function failure, or acute myocardial infarction, administration of this medication should be avoided, and it is safe to temporarily discontinue use before and after surgery. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women and nursing mothers are advised not to take this medication. During treatment, be aware of hypoglycemia symptoms, especially when taken in conjunction with other hypoglycemic agents or insulin, as the risk of hypoglycemia may increase. Furthermore, this medication can cause lactic acidosis, a rare but serious metabolic disorder, so if sudden fatigue, muscle pain, difficulty breathing, or abdominal pain occurs, seek medical attention immediately. Regular monitoring of kidney function and blood tests for abnormal signs is recommended, and periodic checks of vitamin B12 levels are advisable. Excessive alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking this medication, and since there may be interactions with other medications, inform your healthcare provider of any other drugs you are taking. Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, upper respiratory infection, nasopharyngitis, headache, decreased appetite, itching, dizziness, constipation, weakness, indigestion, muscle pain, limb pain, back pain, interstitial lung disease, pruritus, thrombocytopenia, arthralgia associated with severity and disability
