Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it must be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. It should not be administered to patients who are allergic to its components, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe liver disease or certain heart conditions, patients undergoing renal dialysis, patients in shock, or certain diabetic patients. Patients with low blood pressure due to a lack of fluid or salt may experience low blood pressure symptoms when starting this medication; therefore, their condition should be closely monitored, and caution is needed as sudden vascular dilation can lead to hypotension. It should be administered with caution to patients with severe heart disease, congestive heart failure, reduced kidney function, or liver impairment. Various side effects may occur, including dizziness, headache, hypotension, edema, dyspepsia, rash, etc., so if symptoms occur, consult a doctor. Patients who suddenly discontinue beta-blockers should be cautious when taking this medication, and those combining it with other medications that can affect blood pressure and kidney function should be monitored closely. In principle, this medication should not be used during pregnancy, and anyone planning a pregnancy or currently pregnant should consult a doctor. Breastfeeding women should also stop breastfeeding or discontinue the medication as it may cause adverse reactions in infants. Safety and efficacy in children under 18 years have not been established and are therefore not recommended. Given the potential for impaired liver, kidney, and heart function in the elderly, it is advisable to start with a lower dose. In case of overdose, severe hypotension and symptoms due to vascular dilation may occur, so care should be taken not to exceed the recommended dose, and any unusual symptoms should prompt immediate medical attention. Store this medication in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. Also, keep it in a safe place at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C, away from excessive heat or cold.
