It is advisable to avoid using it on mucous membranes, particularly on the genital mucosa. Infants under 2 months old should not use this medication. If you have allergies to other medications or have allergic diseases such as asthma, or have a family history of allergies, be sure to consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Caution is necessary when using on extensive areas of broken skin, mucous membranes, or immature skin, as the risk of systemic side effects may increase. If local allergic reactions or contact dermatitis occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Severe systemic allergic reactions such as anaphylactic shock can occur rarely, so if symptoms develop, stop using immediately and consult medical personnel. Use should be stopped immediately if symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or redness appear. It is advisable to discontinue use if hypersensitivity symptoms such as rash, urticaria, or irritation occur. Caution should be taken as photosensitization reactions may occur; avoid sunlight exposure. This medication is for external use only and must not be ingested or injected. In case of accidental ingestion, the stomach should be washed out using milk or eggs, and proper treatment at a hospital should be sought. Care must be taken to avoid contact with the eyes; if contact occurs, they should be rinsed immediately with plenty of clean water. Caution is necessary when using for extended periods or over large areas to avoid inhaling vapors. It is advisable not to use for disinfecting surgical instruments. Consider the alcohol content in this medication when using it. Soap may reduce the bactericidal effect of this medication, so it should be thoroughly rinsed off before use. This product may be adsorbed by fibers or cloths; hence, it is essential to supply new solutions to maintain the appropriate concentration. Being flammable, caution should be exercised with flames or high temperatures. Electrical devices should be completely dried before use to ensure safety. Patients who have previously had a hypersensitivity reaction to chlorhexidine formulations should consult medical personnel before use.
