Precautions
This medication should not be used in patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, or kidney disease. Also, those allergic to this medication or its constituents, infants under 3 months or 12 months, kidney stone patients, patients with severe renal failure, and those allergic to soybean oil, beans, or peanuts should not take it. Before taking this medication, infants under 1 year, individuals under medical treatment, pregnant or breastfeeding women, those with heart or circulatory diseases, those with poor kidney function, those with low protein levels, those taking cardiac glycosides, and those with abnormal fat metabolism should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Additionally, this medication contains a dye known as Yellow No. 4, so those allergic to this ingredient should also exercise caution. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hypotension, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, or skin rash occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal distress, hypernatremia, heart failure, and edema may occur, and long-term use may lead to elevated blood calcium levels or kidney stones. Be sure to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration; if symptoms do not improve or worsen after about a month of use, consult a doctor or pharmacist. Patients at risk of fat overload should regularly check blood lipid levels and adjust the dosage if necessary. When using it in conjunction with other lipid formulations, adjustments based on lipid content should be made. This medication may increase blood potassium levels when taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, so caution is necessary. Furthermore, it should not be taken concurrently with phosphate, calcium salts, oral tetracycline preparations, or antacids, and it is advised to avoid beverages containing tannins, such as green tea or black tea, during or before/after use. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should be cautious as the Vitamin D component of this medication can be transmitted through breast milk and may cause hypercalcemia in newborns. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. It is also important to avoid misuse or abuse and to not transfer it to other containers to maintain its quality.
