Prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency
This medication is used to prevent and treat vitamin D deficiency in the elderly, adolescents, and adults. It helps maintain bone health and supports normal calcium metabolism through adequate vitamin D intake. This is very important as it can help prevent complications such as osteoporosis. Therefore, it is effectively used for vitamin D deficiency improvement and enhancement of bone health.
Administer 200,000 IU of cholecalciferol as an intramuscular injection. For the elderly, administer 100,000 IU of cholecalciferol as an intramuscular injection. Do not exceed an annual dosage of 600,000 IU of cholecalciferol.

This medication contains vitamin D, so overdose should be avoided. When taken with vitamin D fortified foods or other treatments, total vitamin D intake should be checked. Periodic testing of blood calcium levels is necessary, and if calcium levels become too high, medication should be discontinued. Special care must be taken if serum calcium levels exceed 10.5 mg/dL or urinary calcium exceeds certain standards. If calcium intake is high, regular monitoring of blood and urine calcium levels is important. When using as an injection, care must be taken to avoid glass fragments during opening, especially in children and the elderly. This medication should not be used in certain patients. Those allergic to the components, or with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, calcium stones, kidney disorders, patients with limited mobility, patients with specific diseases, pregnant or nursing women should not take this medication. Headaches, fatigue, muscle pain, digestive disorders, dehydration, high blood pressure, calcium stones, kidney issues, among other side effects, may occur. Immediate consultation with a doctor is necessary if unusual symptoms appear. Additionally, regular monitoring of blood vitamin D levels is important to prevent side effects due to overdose, and special caution is advised for patients with impaired kidney function. Interactions with other medications can occur, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is recommended when taking with anticonvulsants, certain diuretics, antacids, warfarin, etc., and regular checks of blood calcium levels and heart condition should be conducted. It is safer for pregnant and nursing women not to use this medication, and its safety and efficacy have not been established for children under 12 years. In case of overdose, vitamin D intake should be discontinued immediately, calcium intake reduced, increased fluid intake, and diuretic measures should be taken. This medication should not be mixed with other drugs, used quickly after opening, and any remaining medication should be discarded. Store it in a light-blocking container at a temperature between 1 and 25 degrees Celsius to maintain its effectiveness.

This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a container that prevents light from entering. Additionally, to maintain the drug's effectiveness, it's essential to store it at a cool temperature between 1 and 25 degrees Celsius.
