This medication is used to relieve gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, heartburn, indigestion, and nausea.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults (15 years and older, under 80 years) should take 2 tablets each time, and if there is no relief after more than 5 hours, another 2 tablets may be taken. However, do not exceed 2 doses (4 tablets) in a day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with blood disorders, kidney or liver diseases, gastrointestinal diseases such as gastric or duodenal disorders, asthma, or immune system disorders such as rheumatism. When taking this medication, there may be a decrease in leukocyte or platelet counts, so particular caution is needed for those with such disorders. Patients taking steroids, antibiotics, antineoplastics, or azole antifungals should also avoid this medication due to the risk of blood cell count reduction. Patients with a history of blood disorders such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, or leukopenia should refrain from taking this medication. Those allergic to H2-receptor antagonists should not use this medication. Children under 15 years and elderly individuals over 80 years have not been established for safety, and particularly, the elderly should be cautious as the drug effect may be stronger due to decreased kidney function. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers, are advised not to take this medication, and nursing should be discontinued if using this drug. Patients receiving dialysis should also not use this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should not take it. Patients currently taking other medications or under a physician's care should use with caution as drug interactions may lead to side effects or reduced efficacy. Individuals with a history of hypersensitivity should also use this medication with care. Elderly individuals over 65 may have diminished physiological function, so they should take it carefully. If experiencing symptoms such as sore throat, cough, or high fever, serious infections may be possible, and consultation with a doctor is required before taking this medication. If there is unexplained weight loss or persistent abdominal pain, other conditions may exist, so consultation with a physician is necessary before use. Individuals allergic to the color additive Yellow No. 4 (Tartrazine) should use this medication with caution. If symptoms of allergies, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, or muscle pain occur while taking, immediately stop taking and consult with a physician. If symptoms such as chest tightness, pallor, cold extremities, sweating, or shortness of breath appear, immediately consult healthcare personnel. If skin rash, blisters, or mucosal abnormalities in the mouth and throat appear with high fever, immediately stop taking and inform a physician. If symptoms such as sore throat, fever, malaise, changes in the face and eyelids, or easy bruising occur, immediately consult healthcare personnel. If jaundice symptoms appear, immediately stop taking and seek medical attention. If symptoms do not improve after three days of taking, stop and consult with a doctor or pharmacist, as this may indicate another condition. Do not take for more than two weeks, and it is advisable not to take with alcoholic beverages. If exceeding the prescribed dose, stop immediately and consult with healthcare personnel. This medication may increase the risk of side effects if used with other gastrointestinal medications, so they should not be used together. It is safest for pregnant or nursing individuals to avoid taking this medication, particularly discontinuing nursing while using it. Safety has not been established for children, so use is not recommended. Elderly individuals over 65 should carefully follow a physician's instructions due to the considerable variation in individual physiological functions. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in a place away from direct sunlight and high temperatures, in a cool and dry location. Additionally, to protect quality, do not transfer to another container.
