This medication is used not only for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and erosive esophagitis but also as a long-term maintenance therapy to prevent recurrent esophagitis. It is effective for the treatment and prevention of recurrence of duodenal ulcers and peptic ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. It also helps relieve gastrointestinal symptoms and ulcers that may occur while taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is used in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and for maintenance therapy to prevent rebleeding of gastric or duodenal ulcers, improving gastrointestinal health.
