Prevention of vitamin B1 deficiency and improvement of neuralgia, myalgia, etc.
This medicine is used to prevent and treat vitamin B1 deficiency. It is especially helpful as a supplement when dietary intake of vitamin B1 is insufficient, such as in cases of hyperthyroidism, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or intense physical labor. It is also effective in treating serious diseases related to vitamin B1 deficiency, such as Wernicke's encephalopathy and beriberi heart disease. It can also be used for neuralgia, myalgia, peripheral neuropathy, myocardial metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal motility disorders, and other conditions suspected of being due to vitamin B1 deficiency or metabolic disorders. However, it is important not to use it unnecessarily for long periods if vitamin B1 deficiency is not clearly identified. Thus, this medicine helps to improve vitamin B1 deficiency and treats associated diseases.
As fursultiamine, typically 5 to 100 mg is administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously to adults daily. Adjust dosage appropriately according to symptoms.
