This medication is used for patients who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin together. Telmisartan helps treat essential hypertension and reduces the cardiovascular disease risk in elderly patients who are at high risk for myocardial infarction or stroke. Rosuvastatin improves hypercholesterolemia or dyslipidemia that cannot be controlled through diet and exercise and slows the progression of atherosclerosis to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It particularly helps reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization in adults with cardiovascular disease risk factors. The combination therapy of these two components is used not only for the management of hypertension and hyperlipidemia but also to effectively reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and improve health.
