Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus when taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Care should be taken as hypotension may occur upon initial administration in patients with reduced blood volume. It should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to any of its components, pregnant or potentially pregnant women, nursing mothers, patients with severe liver impairment, severe aortic stenosis, and those in shock. It should be administered cautiously in patients with decreased blood volume, rigorous sodium restriction, moderate to severe renal impairment, and hyperkalemia. Various side effects like dizziness, headache, drowsiness, edema, blood pressure reduction, dyspepsia, skin rash, etc., may occur; if symptoms are severe, consult a physician. Especially, dizziness may occur due to the blood pressure-lowering effect, thus avoiding dangerous activities like working at heights or operating vehicles is advisable. It is safer to avoid this drug during lactation as it may be excreted in breast milk. This drug is not recommended for children under 18 years, as the safety and efficacy have not been established. Caution is needed for elderly patients over 75 years as appropriate dosage adjustment may be difficult. When taken with other antihypertensives, caution must be exercised according to a physician's instructions, as the effects may be enhanced. Overdosing may result in severe hypotension or cardiac issues, so adherence to prescribed doses is crucial, and medical attention should be sought immediately if adverse symptoms occur. Store out of reach of children and do not transfer the drug to another container to maintain its quality.
