Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to the active ingredients of this medication or similar drugs, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment should not take this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluid levels may experience hypotension, so their condition should be carefully checked before taking the medication, and blood pressure and condition should be closely monitored while on treatment. Patients with elevated potassium levels should frequently monitor potassium levels when taking this medication alongside other drugs that can increase potassium. Patients with renal vascular issues or those who have undergone kidney transplants should take this medication with special caution as it may affect kidney function. If angioedema (swelling due to airway obstruction or swelling of the face, lips, or tongue) occurs, the medication should be discontinued immediately and should not be taken again. Patients with heart failure or those post-myocardial infarction should frequently check kidney function and blood pressure when taking this medication, and attention should be paid to the worsening of heart failure. Patients with acute myocardial infarction or aortic stenosis should also take this medication with caution. This medication should not be taken in conjunction with other angiotensin-related drugs to avoid increased risk of hypotension, renal function deterioration, or hyperkalemia. Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery, as dizziness or fatigue may occur. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or heart rhythm abnormalities may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought if overdose is suspected. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not use this medication, and breastfeeding women are also advised to avoid it. It is not recommended for children under 18 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been adequately established. Elderly patients may be administered similar doses as adults, but monitoring their condition is crucial. During the course of this medication, regular checks on blood pressure, kidney function, and blood potassium levels should be conducted to ensure there are no abnormalities.
