Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients who are allergic to the ingredients contained in this medication, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, and those with certain heart conditions should not take this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluid levels may experience hypotension when taking this medication, so it is important to carefully control their condition before taking it and monitor blood pressure and condition closely while taking it. Patients with high potassium levels should frequently check their potassium levels when taking this medication in combination with other drugs that increase potassium, and patients with poor kidney function also need to take caution. Patients with kidney transplants or renal artery stenosis should be carefully monitored since this medication can affect kidney function. If symptoms of angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, etc.) occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and medical advice sought. Patients with heart failure or following myocardial infarction should have their heart and kidney function regularly evaluated while taking this medication, and acute myocardial infarction patients should also be cautious. Taking this medication in conjunction with other antihypertensives can increase the risk of hypotension, worsening kidney function, and hyperkalemia, so it is necessary to inform healthcare providers about concomitant medications and ensure regular monitoring. Caution should be exercised as dizziness or fatigue may occur while driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or arrhythmia may occur, so it is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage, and if symptoms arise, seek medical attention immediately. This medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age, and elderly patients may take the same dose as adults but need to be closely monitored. Patients with impaired liver function may need adjustments to their medication dose, and it is advisable to monitor liver function test results during treatment.
