This medication is used alone to reduce triglyceride levels in patients with hypertriglyceridemia (Type IV). Additionally, for patients with mixed hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (Type IIb), it is used in combination with statins to enhance therapeutic effects. This combination therapy is particularly beneficial when triglyceride levels are not adequately controlled. Through this comprehensive treatment approach, blood lipid levels can be effectively managed. Ultimately, this medication is used to improve dyslipidemia.
