This medication is used to improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It may be administered as monotherapy initially, and if monotherapy is not sufficiently effective, it can be combined with metformin. Additionally, if blood sugar control is difficult with monotherapy using sulfonylureas, metformin, thiazolidinediones, or insulin, this medication may be co-administered. If various combination therapies do not adequately control blood sugar, this medication may be added to enhance therapeutic effect. This medication is effectively used for the management of type 2 diabetes.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered once daily at a dose of 100 mg, with a maximum daily dosage of 100 mg. Precautions

This medication may result in severe allergic reactions after administration, so if symptoms such as skin rash or difficulty breathing occur, use should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be consulted.
