Adult dose
Use in adult men The recommended dose of this medicine is 10mg, taken regardless of food before anticipated sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety following extended daily administration has not been established, and because the effect of this medicine usually lasts for more than one day, continuous daily administration of this medicine is strongly discouraged. [See section 1. Warnings and section 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] Use in elderly men No dosage adjustments are required in elderly patients. Use in men with renal impairment No dosage adjustment is required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. [See section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. Use in men with hepatic impairment The recommended dose of this product is 10mg, taken regardless of food before anticipated sexual activity. Since clinical data on the safety of this product in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class C) are limited, the physician should carefully assess the individual benefit/risk when prescribing it. Precautions

This medication is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and must be preceded by a physician's diagnosis and physical examination. Sexual activity may place a burden on the heart, hence caution is particularly urged for patients with cardiovascular diseases. If cardiovascular symptoms occur during or after sexual activity, discontinue the activity immediately and consult a doctor. This medication may rarely cause an erection that persists for more than 4 hours (priapism), and in such cases, immediate medical assistance should be sought. Combining this medication with nitrates or NO donors can dangerously lower blood pressure, so patients using these medications should not use this medication. It is contraindicated in patients with recent serious cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke, or unstable angina. Patients with hereditary retinal disorders or hypersensitivity to the components of this medication should also avoid using it. Combining this medication with other erectile dysfunction treatments is not recommended since safety has not been established. Patients with severe renal or liver impairment should consult a physician before using this medication, and in particular, those with severe liver dysfunction should be administered with caution. Caution is required due to the potential of low blood pressure symptoms when combined with alpha blockers. During the use of this medication, it is advisable to limit alcohol intake, and if sudden hearing loss or vision abnormalities occur, stop taking it immediately and seek medical consultation. Side effects may include headache, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, and nasal congestion, most of which are mild or temporary. In case of overdose, standard treatment should be sought, and dialysis has little effect on the excretion of this medication. Store out of reach of children and it is preferable to keep it in its original packaging. There is almost no effect on driving or operating machinery, however, dizziness may occur in some individuals, so caution is needed.
