Various hypersensitivity symptoms, such as skin rashes, itching, and swelling of the face or neck, may occur; if any of these symptoms appear, the medication should be stopped. Transitory stinging or discomfort in the eye, redness, itching, excessive tearing, and other symptoms may occur; rarely, serious skin conditions like keratitis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome may arise, so if abnormal symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately. Auditory disorders and irritation symptoms have also been reported occasionally, so caution is needed if these symptoms occur. Patients who have used antibiotics of the same class have experienced tendonitis or rupture, particularly in the elderly or when taking steroids concurrently; if pain or inflammation occurs, immediately discontinue the medication. To prevent the development of resistant bacteria, sensitivity to the infective organism should be confirmed, and it should only be used for the minimum necessary duration; long-term use can lead to other issues, such as fungal infections, so prolonged use should be avoided. This medication has not been proven effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA); if such an infection is suspected or symptoms do not improve, it should be replaced with another antibiotic. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks of using this medication, and nursing mothers should discontinue breastfeeding or stop the medication. It is advisable not to use this medication in infants under 1 year of age, as safety and efficacy have not been established. This medication is an eye drop solution intended for ocular use; it should not be applied to other areas, and care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from touching the eye during administration. Avoid sharing with others, and it is advisable to use it individually to prevent contamination. When storing, keep out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool place. Additionally, do not transfer the medication to another container; keep it in its original container to prevent misuse and maintain quality.
