This medication is used to treat constipation and also provides relief from symptoms that may arise due to constipation, such as loss of appetite, abdominal bloating, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids. It is thus effective in improving various uncomfortable symptoms related to constipation.

How to take

Adult dose

For adults (15 years and older), take 1-2 tablets once a day at bedtime (on an empty stomach). The initial dose should be the minimum amount, and it should be adjusted gradually based on the shape and condition of stools.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by persons with acute abdominal disease or patients with intestinal obstruction. During the course of this medication, it is advisable not to take antacids or milk within 1 hour after ingestion. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so patients with a genetic problem of lactose intolerance should not take it. Individuals experiencing severe abdominal pain or vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, those on other medications, individuals with a history of allergies, those on sodium-restricted diets, and those with a history of rectal bleeding or bowel dysfunction must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms such as skin rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. In case of abdominal discomfort or cramps, or if constipation does not improve after taking the medication for over a week, stop taking it and consult a doctor. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and children under 10 years old should avoid taking it unless in special circumstances. Do not chew the tablets but swallow them whole, and it is important not to use it continuously for more than a week as this could lead to tolerance and worsening of constipation. If constipation persists, it is necessary to investigate the cause. Store this medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool, dry, and tightly sealed place. Additionally, to prevent misuse and maintain quality, it is advisable not to transfer it to another container.
