Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus when taken during pregnancy, particularly during the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Patients with reduced intravascular effective blood volume, such as those on diuretics, should stabilize their condition before starting this medication to minimize the risk of hypotension. Patients with allergies to the components of this medication or with severe liver dysfunction, severe aortic stenosis, or in a state of shock should not take this medication. Due to the blood pressure-lowering effect, dizziness or drowsiness may occur, so hazardous activities such as working at heights or driving should be avoided. This medication is used to treat hypertension, and during treatment, regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and electrolyte levels is recommended to detect adverse reactions early. Additionally, caution is needed when taking this medication with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements, as it may increase potassium levels in the blood. This medication is not recommended for breastfeeding women, and its safety or proper dosage has not been established in children or elderly patients over 75 years of age, so caution is warranted. In case of overdose, severe hypotension and tachycardia may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Taking this medication with grapefruit juice may enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect, so it is advisable to avoid this combination. If abnormal symptoms occur during use, consult healthcare professionals immediately for appropriate measures.
