This medication helps alleviate gastroesophageal reflux symptoms such as acid reflux and heartburn. It is also used effectively for dyspepsia caused by the reflux of gastric contents, especially after meals or during pregnancy, and in conjunction with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Taking this medication can reduce these uncomfortable symptoms and enhance the quality of daily life. Therefore, it is used to improve various symptoms caused by gastroesophageal reflux.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 10 to 20 mL, 4 times a day (after meals and before bedtime).

Child dose

Children 12 years and older should take 10 to 20 mL, 4 times a day (after meals and before bedtime), same as adults.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by those who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components. If you have conditions that severely restrict sodium intake, such as congestive heart failure or renal impairment, you must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as it contains a significant amount of sodium per 20 mL. Additionally, patients with hypercalcemia (high calcium levels in the blood), nephrocalcinosis (calcium buildup in the kidneys), or those who repeatedly have calcium-containing kidney stones should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication, as it contains calcium and may affect these patients. Children under 12 years old are not recommended to take this medication without special instruction from a doctor. If you experience symptoms such as itching, difficulty breathing, or severe allergic reactions while taking this medication, you should immediately stop taking it and consult a doctor or pharmacist. These reactions are very rare but can be serious. Overconsumption of calcium can lead to metabolic alkalosis, hypercalcemia, milk-alkali syndrome, constipation, and other issues, so it is important to adhere to the recommended dosage. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days of taking the medication, consult a healthcare professional. In case of overdose, prompt medical treatment should be sought, and some patients may experience abdominal distension. This medication contains calcium carbonate, which may interact with other medications, so it is advisable to take it at least 2 hours apart from certain drugs like tetracycline, digoxin, iron supplements, and ketoconazole. Pregnant women have not reported any unusual reactions to themselves, their fetuses, or newborns while taking this medication. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of the reach of children and must be kept in its original container tightly closed. Transferring to another container may risk misuse or quality deterioration. It should be used within 6 months after opening.

It should be taken at least 2 hours apart from other medications.
