Adult dose

1. Removal of intestinal gas bubbles during endoscopic examination: Administer 40-80 mg of simethicone orally with about 10 mL of water 15-40 minutes before the examination. 2. Removal of intestinal gas during abdominal X-ray examination: From 3-4 days before the examination, administer 40-80 mg three times a day after meals or between meals. 3. Improvement of abdominal symptoms due to gas in the gastrointestinal tract: Administer 40-80 mg three times a day after meals or at bedtime.

This product contains aspartame, an artificial sweetener. Aspartame decomposes into a substance called phenylalanine in the body, so it should not be used by patients with the hereditary disease phenylketonuria. The daily acceptable amount of aspartame is recommended to be no more than 40 mg per kg of body weight; for example, for a 60 kg adult, the maximum daily dosage is 2.4 g. Care should be taken not to exceed this amount. Additionally, this product contains sodium sulfite, which can cause allergic reactions. In particular, patients with asthma may be at increased risk for asthma attacks, so it should be used cautiously. After taking the medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as loose stools, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pressure, and decreased appetite may occasionally occur. Rarely, headaches may also occur. This medication contains sodium benzoate, which may cause mild irritation to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes, so caution is necessary. It is advisable to shake the product well before use. Keep out of reach of children, store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and tightly closed.
