Adult dose
Use in adult men The recommended dose of this drug is 10mg, taken with or without food before anticipated sexual activity. For patients in whom tadalafil 10mg does not produce a sufficient effect, 20 mg may be tried. This drug may be taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety following extended daily dosing has not been established, and because the effect of this drug usually lasts more than one day, continuous daily use of this drug is strongly not recommended. [See sections 1. Warnings and 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] Use in older men No dosage adjustment is required in older patients. Use in men with renal impairment No dosage adjustment is required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. [See section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. Use in men with hepatic impairment The recommended dose of tadalafil tablets is 10mg, taken with or without food before anticipated sexual activity. Since clinical data on the safety of tadalafil tablets in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class C) are limited, if prescribing them, the physician should carefully assess the individual benefit/risk. There are no data on administration of doses higher than 10mg to patients with hepatic impairment. [See section 3. Use with caution in the following patients and section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. Use in men with diabetes No dosage adjustment is required in patients with diabetes.
Child dose
Under 18 years of age: Tadalafil tablets should not be used.

Precautions

This medication is intended for the treatment of erectile dysfunction, and it is essential to consult a doctor to check for cardiovascular diseases and overall health status before use. Sexual activity can put stress on the heart, so patients with heart diseases need careful evaluation before using this medication. If an erection lasts for more than 4 hours after taking this medication or if there is pain, one must visit a hospital immediately, as untreated cases can lead to penile tissue damage and permanent loss of erectile function. Concomitant use with nitrates or NO donors can cause dangerously low blood pressure; therefore, these medications should not be taken during the use of this drug. Patients who have had recent cardiovascular diseases like myocardial infarction, angina, or stroke, or those with uncontrolled hypertension and heart failure should not take this medication. Patients with hereditary retinal disorders or allergies to this medication's components should also avoid it. Using this medication with other erectile dysfunction treatments is not recommended due to unconfirmed safety. Patients with severe kidney or liver dysfunction should take the medication cautiously under a doctor's guidance, as combining it with some antihypertensive medications can cause symptoms of low blood pressure. Common side effects may include headaches, dyspepsia, back pain, muscle pain, flushing, and others, which are usually mild and temporary. If dizziness or changes in vision or hearing occur, one should consult a doctor immediately. This medication is not to be used by women, children, or pregnant women, and while it does not significantly affect driving or machine operation, caution is advised as effects may vary by individual. In case of overdose, immediate medical attention is required, as this drug is not effectively removed by dialysis. This medication should be stored in its original packaging, and kept out of reach of children.
