Adult dose

Use in adult men The recommended dose of this drug is 10mg, taken with or without food before anticipated sexual activity. For patients in whom tadalafil 10mg does not produce a sufficient effect, 20 mg may be tried. This drug may be taken at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The maximum recommended dosing frequency is once daily. Long-term safety following extended daily dosing has not been established, and because the effect of this drug usually lasts more than one day, continuous daily use of this drug is strongly not recommended. [See sections 1. Warnings and 11.1) Pharmacodynamic properties] Use in older men No dosage adjustment is required in older patients. Use in men with renal impairment No dosage adjustment is required in patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. The maximum recommended dose in patients with severe renal impairment is 10mg. [See section 11.2) Pharmacokinetic properties]. Use in men with hepatic impairment The recommended dose of this drug is 10mg, taken with or without food before anticipated sexual activity. Since clinical data on the safety of this drug in patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class C) are limited, if prescribing it, the physician should carefully assess the individual benefit/risk. There are no data on administration of doses higher than 10mg to patients with hepatic impairment. [See section 3. Child dose

Do not use in persons under 18 years of age.

Rarely, an erection lasting more than 4 hours can occur; in such cases, seek medical assistance immediately, as failure to treat may lead to damage to the penile tissue or permanent loss of erectile function. Patients taking nitrate products or medications containing nitrates must not take this medication, as it can cause dangerously low blood pressure. Patients with cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, unstable angina, heart failure, or stroke, or those who have recently experienced such symptoms, may face risks when using this medication, and its administration is contraindicated. Patients with hereditary retinal diseases or hypersensitivity to this medication or its components should also avoid using it. Combining this medication with other erectile dysfunction treatments is not recommended due to the lack of evidence regarding safety and efficacy. Patients with severely impaired kidney or liver function should have their dosage adjusted, and they should consult with their healthcare provider. This medication may cause side effects such as headaches, dyspepsia, back pain, myalgia, flushing, and other mild or moderate reactions. If sudden vision loss or hearing reduction occurs while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with this medication, as it may increase the risk of blood pressure reduction and dizziness. In the case of overdose, standard emergency treatment should be provided, while blood dialysis is ineffective. This medication should not be used by children, women, or pregnant individuals; it should be stored out of reach of children.
