Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with urinary retention symptoms that affect urination. It is also contraindicated in patients with serious gastrointestinal problems, myasthenia gravis, glaucoma, or those undergoing hemodialysis. Avoid use in patients with hypersensitivity to this drug or specific genetic issues. Caution should be exercised in patients at risk of urinary retention or those at risk of gastrointestinal obstruction or decreased motility. In patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, a dosage adjustment may be necessary when taken with certain other medications. Common symptoms that may occur during treatment include dry mouth, constipation, and blurred vision, so be mindful. Serious side effects such as bowel obstruction or angioedema can rarely occur, and if such symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. Some patients may experience allergic reactions or anaphylaxis, so treatment should be discontinued immediately if symptoms occur. Be cautious when driving or operating machinery due to drowsiness or blurred vision, which may increase the risk of accidents. When taken with other anticholinergic medications, effects may be intensified, or side effects may worsen, so consultation with a healthcare professional is needed. Especially when taken with drugs that inhibit the enzymes that break down this medication in the liver, monitoring of drug concentrations is important to avoid high levels. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a doctor before taking this medication, and breastfeeding women are advised to avoid its use. It is generally not recommended to use this medication in children as its safety and efficacy have not been established. In case of overdose, symptoms such as severe drowsiness, dizziness, and blurred vision may appear, and prompt medical treatment is required. This medication is known not to increase the risk of tumor development even with long-term use.
