This medication may cause side effects such as diarrhea, loose stools, dry mouth, and lethargy in some patients during use. It may affect liver function, so if there is an increase in liver enzyme levels or symptoms of hepatitis, the medication should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted. There may be hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes or urticaria, or rarely, swelling of the face or body. Increased eosinophil counts or decreased white blood cell counts may occur in blood tests. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal bloating, oral numbness including the tongue and lips, nausea, vomiting, and taste disorders have been reported. Rapid heartbeat or neurological symptoms such as dizziness and headache may also occur rarely. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or galactose metabolism disorders should not take it. If gastrointestinal symptoms do not improve after using the medication for more than two weeks, long-term use should be avoided. Elderly patients may have impaired kidney and liver function; therefore, they should use the medication cautiously while monitoring their condition, and dosages should be reduced if adverse effects occur. The medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container may not maintain its quality, so caution is advised. Finally, results from animal studies show an increase in tumor occurrence with high doses over a long duration, so prolonged use at high doses should be avoided.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication may be sensitive to air and moisture; therefore, it should be stored in a sealed container. Additionally, avoid exposure to excessively hot or cold places, and it is recommended to store it at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
