Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Reduced amniotic fluid due to decreased fetal kidney function can lead to issues such as limb contractions or craniofacial deformities. Taking this medication during the early stages of pregnancy may also pose risks to the fetus; therefore, women of childbearing age should consult a physician before use. Patients with reduced intravascular volume, such as those on diuretics, should ensure normal fluid volume before taking this medication; otherwise, hypotension may occur. This medication should not be used in individuals allergic to active ingredients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe liver dysfunction, patients with severe aortic stenosis, and patients in a state of shock. Patients undergoing blood tests or with impaired kidney function, patients on a strict sodium-restricted diet, and those with hyperkalemia should use this medication with caution. Taking this medication can cause symptoms such as dizziness or headaches, so caution is advised when driving or operating hazardous machinery. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function should have regular tests and adjust the dosage according to the doctor’s guidance. This medication may enhance the effect when taken with other antihypertensives, so consultation with a specialist is necessary when combining treatments. Especially, avoiding grapefruit juice is advised as it can excessively increase the medication's effectiveness. Risks to the fetus during pregnancy mean that it should be discussed with a doctor if planning a pregnancy or during pregnancy, and use during breastfeeding should be avoided. Safety in children or adolescents under 18 years of age has not been established, and its use is not recommended. Elderly patients, particularly those over 75 years of age, require proper dosage adjustment for this medication and should be guided by a physician during initial treatment. Overdosage can cause severe hypotension and heart problems, so strict adherence to dosage instructions is necessary, and medical attention should be sought immediately if adverse symptoms occur. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to another container for safety.
