Treatment of inflammatory diseases of the external eye and anterior segment (blepharitis, conjunctivitis, etc.)
This medicinal product is used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases occurring in the external eye and anterior segment, such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, episcleritis, iritis, iridocyclitis, uveitis, as well as inflammation occurring post-surgery.
Instill 1-2 drops per dose, 2-4 times a day. Adjust as appropriate based on symptoms.
This medication is an eye drop solution used to help reduce inflammation and belongs to the steroid class of drugs. This medication should not be used in patients with viral keratitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, chronic blepharitis, or people who are allergic to this medication. Patients with corneal injuries or ulcers, patients with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, and children under 2 years of age should use this medication with extreme caution. Prolonged use may increase intraocular pressure, potentially leading to glaucoma, thus regular eye pressure checks are required, as this may cause damage to the optic nerve or vision impairment. Additionally, there is a risk of serious infections such as herpes corneae or fungal infections, and severe side effects such as corneal perforation may also develop. There may also be a possibility of cataracts developing with long-term use, and immune function may be suppressed, increasing the risk of infections in the eye. In the case of acute purulent eye infections, this medication can mask or worsen symptoms, so caution is warranted. After instillation, temporary blurred vision may occur, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until vision has clarified. If wearing contact lenses, they should be removed before instilling the drops and can be reinserted at least 30 minutes later. Serious complications may arise if infected with chickenpox or measles while using this medication, making it essential to confirm the history of chickenpox or measles and vaccination before treatment. Women who are pregnant or nursing are advised not to use this medication long-term, and if necessary, should consult a professional. Children and the elderly should use this medication with particular caution due to differences in physical functions. This medication is for ocular use only, and care should be taken to avoid contact of the dropper tip with the eye. Shake well before use, and it is safer not to share with others to prevent contamination. When storing, keep out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store in a cool place. Also, do not transfer the medication to another container.
