Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This drug may cause hypotension when initially administered to patients with reduced intravascular blood volume; thus, those with symptoms should receive treatment first. It is contraindicated in patients with allergies to the main ingredient or similar medications, pregnant or breastfeeding women, severe liver dysfunction, severe aortic stenosis, or those in a state of shock. Caution is necessary in patients with reduced blood volume, strict salt restriction, or moderate to severe renal impairment. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, drowsiness, edema, dyspepsia, skin rash, palpitations, and orthostatic hypotension may occur, so caution is advised. Particularly, dizziness may occur during hypertension treatment, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function should consult with a physician before taking this drug, and caution is required when taken with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements, as potassium levels may rise. When combined with other antihypertensive drugs, the blood pressure-lowering effect may increase, so follow a doctor's instructions. This drug is not recommended for children or elderly patients over 75 years of age. In case of overdose, severe hypotension and tachycardia may occur; thus, seek medical attention immediately, and treatment should be given based on symptoms. Store this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to another container.
