View approved original text

Local treatment of plaque psoriasis is used to relieve skin inflammation and itching, and to promote skin regeneration to improve symptoms. This may involve the use of steroid ointments, immunomodulators, and moisturizers, and appropriate medications are selected based on the patient's skin condition. Local treatment helps effectively control symptoms by applying directly to the areas affected by psoriasis.
