Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Those who have experienced an allergy or hypersensitivity to this drug or its components should not take it. Patients with calcium metabolism disorders or those with guttate psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, exfoliative psoriasis, or pustular psoriasis should also avoid using this medication. This drug should not be administered to individuals with severe renal impairment or severe liver disease, children, patients with eczema associated with facial or periorbital skin, or those with tympanic membrane perforation. This medication should also not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or parasites, as well as in individuals with wounds, ulcers, burns, perioral dermatitis, acne, rosacea, or pruritus of the anus and genital areas. Care should be taken when administering this drug to pregnant or breastfeeding women, the elderly, individuals with liver dysfunction, or diabetic patients. Various skin adverse reactions such as itching, skin rashes, skin irritation, and aggravated psoriasis may occur during use, and in some cases, severe hypersensitivity reactions or infections may arise, so caution is advised. Prolonged use or use over large areas can lead to systemic side effects such as adrenal suppression, elevated blood glucose levels, and increased intraocular pressure, so prolonged use should be avoided. The drug should not be used on the face, periorbital area, or genital skin due to the risk of significant irritation, and hands should always be washed thoroughly after use. Since this drug can affect calcium metabolism, it is crucial to adhere to the specified dosage and duration, as excessive use may lead to side effects such as hypercalcemia. If symptoms do not improve or worsen during treatment, consult a physician immediately. During pregnancy, this medication may pose a risk to the fetus; therefore, it should only be used after consultation with a physician. Caution is also needed during breastfeeding. This medication is best not used in combination with other corticosteroids, and if used together with salicylic acid, the efficacy may be reduced, so this should be avoided. When applying, care should be taken to avoid excessive exposure to natural or artificial light, and occlusive dressings should be used only as directed by a physician. Due to the higher risk of side effects, children and the elderly should use this medication with particular caution, and if any unusual symptoms occur, consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended. Keep this medication out of reach of children, and it should be used within 6 months of opening and not stored in the refrigerator.
