This medication is used to improve liver function and reduce inflammation, alleviating the symptoms of chronic persistent hepatitis. It may help maintain liver health and prevent deterioration.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, 1 capsule for adults, taken orally 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with complete bile duct obstruction. Additionally, it should not be administered to patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption, as it contains lactose. This medication should be used cautiously in patients with chronic active hepatitis, cirrhosis, hypokalemia, severe pancreatic disorders, peptic ulcers, or gallstones. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting may occasionally occur, and rare cases of abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, or gastric discomfort may also be experienced. Allergic reactions such as itching and rash may occur, and sometimes a skin rash may develop but usually improves with the use of antihistamines. Transient jaundice may occur; if this happens, discontinuation of the medication or the use of jaundice treatment may resolve the symptoms. Rarely, systemic fatigue or dizziness may also be reported. This medication should be taken according to the prescribed dosage, and if symptoms do not improve after up to 8 weeks of use or if abnormal symptoms occur, it is essential to stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. It is crucial to keep the medication out of reach of children. It is advisable not to use this medication in pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as it can potentially harm the fetus. Caution is needed when using this medication with oral diabetic agents, as the effects of the diabetes medication may be intensified.
