Relief of musculoskeletal pain and spasms (lumbar pain, shoulder-hand syndrome, etc.)
This medication is used to relieve pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders and muscle contraction disorders. It is particularly effective for pain in the lumbar and back areas, shoulder-hand syndrome occurring in the neck, shoulders, and arms, inflammatory diseases around the shoulder joint, and conditions such as degenerative spondylosis. It contributes to improving these symptoms to assist patients' movements and reduce discomfort in daily activities. Therefore, it is used to relieve various pain and muscle stiffness associated with musculoskeletal disorders.
Chlorzoxazone: 200-400mg orally, 3-4 times a day. Adjust dosage appropriately according to age and symptoms.
This medication may rarely cause serious liver damage; therefore, if symptoms abnormal to liver function occur, it should be discontinued immediately and consulted with a physician. Patients with liver disease must consult with a physician before using this medication. Patients with allergies or intolerance to this medication should not use it, nor should patients with specific genetic issues like lactose intolerance. Patients with liver or kidney function issues or a history of drug allergies should use this medication with caution. If hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rash or pruritus occur during use, discontinue immediately. If neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, dizziness, or lethargy occur, take appropriate measures such as reducing the dosage or stopping the medication. If liver dysfunction is suspected, monitoring should be intensified, and the medication should be discontinued if abnormalities are observed. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain may occur, so if symptoms are severe, consult with a physician. Rarely, allergic skin rashes, bleeding, angioedema, and anaphylaxis reactions may occur, so caution is necessary. Drowsiness and decreased concentration may occur during the use of this medication, so driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided. Drug interactions may occur when taken with certain medications or alcohol; if coadministration is unavoidable, use with caution and adjust the dosage accordingly. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the therapeutic effect and risk when using this medication; it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding if nursing. The safety of this medication for children has not been established and should be used only when necessary; caution should be exercised for the elderly as physical functions may be impaired, potentially requiring dosage reduction.
