This medication is effective for chronic inflammatory diseases such as chronic polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used to relieve pain and swelling that occur after trauma or surgery. It aids in the treatment of infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever, contributing to symptom relief. It is effectively used for the management of various inflammatory diseases and pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Administer 300 mg of Dexibuprofen orally 2 to 4 times a day. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of Dexibuprofen in one day.

Precautions

This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist before use for those who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily, as taking this medication increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. Moreover, this medication can affect the cardiovascular system and may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular conditions such as myocardial infarction or stroke. Those with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should exercise caution and closely monitor cardiovascular symptoms with their physician. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal issues like gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation. Co-administration of this medication with aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or high-dose methotrexate during treatment may pose risks and should be avoided. Dizziness or fatigue may occur when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. Pregnant women over six months should not take this medication, and breastfeeding individuals should consult a specialist before use. Before taking this medication, individuals with blood disorders, bleeding tendencies, liver or kidney function issues, hypertension, heart failure, history of hypersensitivity, elderly patients, children (use with caution for those aged 6 and above), and women planning pregnancy should consult a doctor or pharmacist. If serious adverse reactions such as shock, severe skin rashes, difficulty breathing, severe gastrointestinal symptoms, blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney dysfunction, or cardiovascular symptoms occur, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and consultation with a healthcare professional is required. This medication should be used at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration, and regular blood tests along with monitoring of liver and kidney function are necessary for prolonged use. It is also important to remember that this medication is for symptomatic relief and not a causal treatment. Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or high-dose (more than 15 mg/week) methotrexate used in cancer therapy. Additionally, avoid concomitant use with corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin), baclofen, and immunosuppressants.
